The following points should be noted when installing safety valves:
(1) When the container contains both gaseous and liquid phases, the safety valve should be installed in the gas phase section.
(2) When a safety valve is used to release flammable liquids, the outlet of the safety valve should be connected to the emergency storage tank. When the released material is a high-temperature flammable substance, its receiving container should have appropriate protective facilities.
(3) Generally, safety valves can be vented locally. The vent outlet should be at least 1 meter (m) above the operator and should not face open flames, spark-emitting locations, or high-temperature equipment within 15 meters (m). The vent outlet of safety valves for indoor equipment and containers should extend to the roof and be at least 2 meters (m) above the roof.
(4) When there is an isolation valve at the inlet of the safety valve, the isolation valve should be in the normally open state and sealed with lead to prevent errors.
