MH manufactures custom gears and transmission components for agricultural machinery OEMs and drivetrain manufacturers. Our agricultural gearbox experience combines ISO Grade 6 gear examples, carburizing and quenching, precision grinding and gear inspection to address demanding tooth geometry, mounting fits and material requirements.
| ISO Grade 6 | Gear accuracy in agricultural gearbox and related axle gear examples |
|---|---|
| Ra 0.4 μm | Surface roughness achieved on specified bore and outside-diameter features |
| Ø30–Ø300 mm | Gear machining diameter range; module up to 7 |
Capabilities are applied to the component drawing, material and treatment specification.
Manufacturing experience across the drivetrain
Our component supply experience includes Lingong Agricultural Machinery, BorgWarner and Hande Axle. These references cover agricultural gearbox components, primary reduction shafts and axle gears, respectively.
Lingong Agricultural Machinery - gearbox components
Drive gears, driven gears and splined sleeves for reduction drive gears. The agricultural gearbox product family uses 22CrMnTiH with carburizing and quenching, supported by tooth, fit and heat-treatment requirements.
BorgWarner - Primary Reduction Shaft
Primary reduction shaft manufacturing in 20CrMnTiH with carburizing and quenching. Representative shaft features include Ø50 k6 and Ø35 h5, demonstrating drawing-controlled fitting diameters for transmission assemblies.
Hande Axle - planet and cylindrical gears
Planet gears, driving cylindrical gears and driven cylindrical gears for axle applications, using 22CrMoH and 17CrNiMo6. This related axle experience supports evaluation of new agricultural drivetrain component projects.
Precision where agricultural transmissions need it
An agricultural transmission component must satisfy its assembly requirements as well as its tooth specification. MH brings gear cutting, grinding and dimensional inspection together so the functional surfaces can be reviewed alongside the gear geometry.
Tooth geometry and assembly fits
ISO Grade 6 gear examples are supported by gear measuring capability. Bore and outside-diameter tolerance widths reach 0.015 mm on specified reference features, with surface roughness down to Ra 0.4 μm.
Heat-treated material condition
Carburizing and quenching requirements address surface hardness, core hardness and effective case depth separately. The gearbox and axle references below show different treatment specifications for their respective product families.
Surface strengthening for axle gears
Available axle gear processes include shot peening and centrifugal wheel peening before or after grinding, according to the specified process route. The treatment sequence and acceptance requirements are selected for the individual gear.

Gear measurement, critical fit inspection and heat-treatment verification support a clear acceptance basis for OEM components. Report scope and inspection frequency are agreed for the project.
A practical route from inquiry to repeat supply
Drawing and application review
Send the controlled drawing, gear or spline data, material, treatment requirements and mating information. Include duty cycle and loading conditions where they affect the manufacturing review.
Sample and approval planning
Agree the manufacturing scope, sample quantity and required inspection records. Include PPAP or other customer-specific approval requirements with the inquiry so the documentation scope can be reviewed.
Production requirements
Define critical characteristics, traceability, revision control, packaging and delivery expectations before repeat production. Provide order quantities and estimated annual demand for quotation planning.
Agricultural transmission component FAQ
Can MH manufacture ISO Grade 6 agricultural gearbox gears?
Yes. Our agricultural gearbox and related axle gear references include ISO Grade 6 gears. The drawing specifies the applicable characteristics and acceptance requirements for the new component.
Which components can I submit for quotation?
Send drawings for drive gears, driven gears, splined sleeves, primary reduction shafts or related axle gears. Include the material, treatment and quantity so we can evaluate the component and its manufacturing route.
How are gearbox and axle heat-treatment requirements handled?
They are treated as component-specific specifications. Our gearbox reference has an effective case depth of 0.9–1.25 mm, while the related axle reference has 0.5–0.8 mm, both at the 550 HV3 criterion. New parts follow their own approved requirements.
Are shot peening and wheel peening available?
Yes. Related axle gear processes include shot peening and centrifugal wheel peening, with pre-grinding or post-grinding treatment as specified. Include treatment coverage and acceptance requirements in the inquiry.
What should an overseas OEM send first?
A revision-controlled 2D drawing, 3D model if available, tooth and spline specifications, material and heat treatment, required inspection documents, sample quantity, annual demand and target schedule.
