Operating Instructions for Safety Valves

1. Keep safety valves clean at all times to prevent the valve body and springs from becoming clogged with grease and dirt or corroded. Prevent the gas safety valve's exhaust pipe from being blocked by oil or other foreign objects. Regularly check the lead seals for integrity, prevent the counterweight of lever-type safety valves from loosening or being moved, and prevent the adjusting screw of spring-type safety valves from being arbitrarily tightened.

2. After cleaning, the safety valve must be readjusted.

3. Use a light oil-based cleaner for the safety valve.

4. During the initial operation after readjustment, carefully observe the safety valve's operation.

5. If any signs of leakage are found in the safety valve, replace or repair it immediately. Do not attempt to eliminate leakage by increasing the load (such as excessively tightening the adjusting screw of a spring-type safety valve or adding weights to the lever of a lever-type safety valve).

6. Regularly inspect operating safety valves for leaks, jamming, spring corrosion, and other abnormal phenomena. Also, carefully observe whether the locking nuts of the adjusting sleeve and adjusting ring set screws are loose. If any problems are found, take appropriate measures promptly.

7. Safety valves installed outdoors must be properly protected to prevent rain, fog, dust, rust, and other contaminants from entering the safety valve and discharge pipes. When the ambient temperature is below zero degrees Celsius, necessary anti-freezing measures should also be taken to ensure the reliability of the safety valve's operation.

8. When operating gas safety valves, in addition to complying with this procedure, the relevant provisions of the "Pressure Vessel Safety Technical Supervision Regulations" and the "Safety Valve Safety Technical Supervision Regulations" (TSG ZF001-2004) must also be followed.
