Straightness/Warpage of a Slender Frame

Structural Features: 160mm long strip, large internal cavity, multiple side windows for weight reduction → significantly reduced rigidity.

Maximum Control Difficulty Indicators:

Straightness of Key Assembly Reference Surface: ≤ 0.02 mm

Flatness of Upper Reference Surface: ≤ 0.02–0.03 mm

Overall Warpage/Arch (End-to-End Bending): ≤ 0.05 mm

Torsion (Diagonal Difference at Both Ends): ≤ 0.05 mm

 

Natural Tendency (Titanium Alloy + Large Material Removal):

Arch/Warpage: 0.10–0.30 mm (Very Common)

Torsion: 0.05–0.15 mm

Deformation Control

Large material removal + thin wall leads to stress release

Removal rate ≥60% + wall thickness ≤2.5mm
Common stress release deformation in titanium alloys:
Reference surface warping: 0.08–0.20 mm
Side wall "opening/retraction": 0.05–0.20 mm

Hole and slot array error accumulation

The side has multiple sets of long slots/windows arrayed:

Long slot width tolerance: ±0.02 mm

Slot spacing tolerance: ±0.02 mm

Slot position relative to the reference plane: ≤ 0.03 mm

Slot bottom/sidewall roughness: Ra ≤1.6μm

Titanium alloys more sensitive to cut long parts

Thermal conductivity: ~6.7 W/m·K (heat concentration)

Cutting zone temperature can reach: 800–1000°C

On a 160mm long workpiece:
